Apparent Software and Your Privacy

Apparent Software did not and will not sell or rent any personal information supplied to us by our customers, except as may be required by law. This includes contact information, such as names, emails, addresses or anything that you share with us during support interaction.

Some of your information may be collected by third-party companies that we work with. These are listed below.

Third-party services that we use

Purchasing

  • FastSpring. When you purchase from our store, you do it via FastSpring, a US-based company with an established record of caring for their customers. The name, email and address that you enter during checkout will be kept in FastSpring’s system and we can access this for statistical purposes, to keep your licenses, and in order to contact you, if there's a need. We, Apparent Software, do not have access to any of your payment information at any point. FastSpring's privacy policy can be found here.
  • Apple. When you purchase our applications from Apple via the App Store, we do not receive any information about you. Apple keeps your data. Apple's privacy policy is here.
  • In Calm My Dog, if you subscribe to any of the subscription plans or lifetime plans, it's processed using RevenueCat. In that case, you're covered by their privacy policy.

Analytics

  • Web analytics: Google Analytics (privacy policy). We use Google Analytics to better understand how visitors use our site. This is aggregate information, containing nothing that uniquely identifies you.
  • Web analytics: Facebook Pixel. This is not personally identifiable information. To understand how Facebook uses cookies, see their policy.

Support

Freshdesk: We use Freshdesk for our support system, so if you send an email to support@apparentsoft.com or open a ticket on our support site, we'll use Freshdesk to reply to you. Its privacy page is here.

Newsletter

Email Octopus: We use Email Octopus to send our occasional newsletters to you. You may unsubscribe at any time. Their Privacy Policy.

Version updates

When you check for updates within applications downloaded from our site, the application sends your current version to our server. A server log will also record a visit, including your current application version, your browser and your IP address. We cannot use the IP address to identify a person, nor do we wish to do so.

ImageFramer Library updates

When ImageFramer (purchased from our website) checks for frame library updates, it sends its current version and the license key to our server to verify you can access the requested frames. Our server log also records the visit.

Deleting your data

You can email us at support@apparentsoft.com to ask us to delete any information we keep about you. This includes personally identifiable sales information (if you purchased via our website) and any past discussions logged in our support system.
